A Fresh Start for Keep Traditional Country Alive: We've Returned Stronger than Before!

Hey Traditional Country Family!

You have probably been wondering what is going on with all the Player of the Month articles lately. So let me explain what happened and share some of the exciting things that have been happening behind the scenes!

As I mentioned earlier, I have had a lot of changes happening in my life, and I haven't been able to spend as much time with Keep Traditional Country Alive as I would like. Between going to school and working on some major career improvements, I found it hard to keep up with all of the regular articles that go along with my website.
However, I would like you to know that this is still my passion project and that I have used traditional country music as the soundtrack to every late night and early morning throughout this crazy time.

While I have not been able to publish new articles, I have been working on something really special, actually 2 really special things. I'm excited to tell you that I have started 2 new companies, a management company and a design company!
Goldenrod Music Management and Goldenrod Design Co. They have truly been a labor of love, and they are already beginning to create opportunities for me that I never thought were possible.

Through my various business ventures, I have been developing skills that will help Keep Traditional Country Alive to become stronger and more professional and have a greater impact in accomplishing our mission of preserving and celebrating the music we love.

Welcome to Our New Home

In connection with this great new beginning, you are reading this article on our new website, ktcatx.com! This new digital home provides us with additional flexibility, better features, and a more user-friendly experience for you as readers. I have worked very hard to make this space deserving of the artists and the music we celebrate. I plan on doing a TON more articles starting this year, to include music submissions, album reviews, and classic country history pieces.

Please take a few minutes to go check out the new site, save it as a favorite, and make it your home. You will see all of my previous articles posted here (minus the photos, I am in the process of getting those moved over to this site.)
This is where we will continue to fulfill our mission to preserve and promote traditional country music and keep it alive for future generations.

What's Coming in March 2026

The thing that excites me the most is that the Player of the Month articles are coming back in March 2026!

I have missed having the opportunities to explore the artistry of these amazing musicians who create the sounds of country music the way it was created to sound. The pedal steel guitar is the heartbeat of traditional country, and I am excited to be able to pick up the pen again.

I cannot wait to share in-depth articles on pedal steel players again! And this year we are going to start featuring Guitar Players as well to this spotlight series.
It has been a while since I have been able to showcase these talented people who contribute to making country music what it is and show their artistry and creativity. These instruments has always been a vital part of traditional country music, and I cannot wait to resume honoring the traditionalists, the unsung heroes, and the contemporary innovators who have helped keep the sound of traditional country music alive.

Be sure to set reminders in your calendars for all of the amazing history of pedal steel guitars, including many, many past and current players with articles and videos that showcase their artistry, rare photos, analysis of their music, and much more.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your patience during the last couple of months, thank you for your love of traditional country music, and thank you for being a part of a community that does not want real country music to be forgotten.

Until March, keep listening to all of your records, and continue to hold on to your traditions.

Looking forward to March!
